Teaching artistic painting in schools has not changed all that much in the last 30 years.  Although the fashion and haircuts certainly have.

Here is a documentary filmed by Auckland Art College in the 1980’s with local brand of paints FAS - Fine Art Supplies Ltd.  Although the filming and fashions are looking a little aged the concept and teaching skills have not.
